My Game Design Journey

Ever since I was a child, I loved the worlds brought to life through video games and the open invitation for all those who would like to explore them. Books, video games, and films catapulted my imagination to heights where I began penning my own stories starting in Jr.High.

I got my hands on RPG Maker 3 released on the PS2 in 2004 and the ability to create my own game was no longer a far off dream. I moved on from this initial experience towards other RPG Makers on PC and the desire to work on video games only grew alongside my desire to tell stories.

Life had other plans for me and I had to shelve my dream of making games for years. I joined the United States Air Force in my early twenties and dabbled once or twice more with game development during my time in the military. After completing nearly seven years of Active Duty service I got accepted to Biola where I discovered they had a Game Design course. After two weeks of difficult decision making I entered applied to Biola with a short game level I made with RPG Maker.

Thus my four year journey utilizing and learning all I could about Unreal Engine began, I have honed my skills in creating engaging and immersive experiences. My journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs, each contributing to my growth as a designer.
